

Any mentions of women or animals were strewn into a sense that they were nothing more than things to appease the man of faith. This is a mans religion and would benefit no one else but a man. I didn't find it accepting of others, except men.

Or the first pages of the intro where it informs readers that Jews and Christians are following false stories and beliefs. If you want a blaring example read Sûran 4:34. I wish I had never read this book because I feel the negativity of it has infected me. I did not gain any spirituality from reading this. It was confusing and pointless and gave me no educated knowledge. It only works to attempt to put fear in its reader that they will go to hell for not following the Islamic faith. I usually follow a "love and let live" life but I cannot sit idly by and unopinionated about a book that couldn't be further from a "love and let live" philosophy. I actually cannot believe that people follow or are even able to read this and find love and guidance from this. It didn't take long to realise my open mind was about to be affronted by a very closed mind.
